Six Kids Write Love Letters to Sycamore

Sycamore Church exists to create an elevation for everyday ordinary people to see Jesus, discover His purpose for their lives and be empowered to live it out. So we consider it a miracle when everyday ordinary people, including children and teens, get to have Jesus-encounters.

In celebration of our 10th Anniversary, you will read the inspiring letters written by our children and teens, that tell the powerful story of how Sycamore is making a meaningful difference in their lives.

These letters are a testament to the significant role our church is playing in shaping the next generation of Jesus lovers.

“We like church because we get to hear different stories about Jesus.”

Dear Sycamore,

We like church because we get to hear different stories about Jesus and play with our friends. Our favorite memory is when we made a new friend Ife, and one time when we played soccer with other kids.

We’re grateful for you because we get to pray more. We love Sycamore church and pray that our church continues to grow!

Love,

“Being in Sycamore feels like I’m with family.”

Dear Sycamore,

I love coming to Sycamore Kids every Sunday because I get to hear stories and watch movies about Jesus. I have become better at making friends, reading my Bible, and studying my schoolwork.

I met my friend Peace at church. It’s one of my favorite memories because we are now very good friends. Being at Sycamore Kids makes me feel loved and cared for. It makes me feel like I am with family.

My big birthday prayer for Sycamore is that we continue to grow bigger and bigger in Jesus name.

Happy birthday,

“Learning in the kids’ church is quite fun, especially learning about JESUS.”

Dear Sycamore,

We like the Junior Church because learning is simple.  We learn about morals that come from the Bible in a way that is easy to understand. We also do creative activities like bead making and colouring that keep us busy.

We like the way our teachers teach in a way that’s easy to understand. We also like that they share their experiences with us. Learning in the kids’ church is quite fun, especially learning about JESUS.

Happy 10th anniversary Sycamore with love,

Tojuayolo and Similoluwa Jolaolu.

“I have become better at craft-making and keeping friends “

Dear Sycamore,

Being in Sycamore Kids makes me happy. I have become better at craft-making and keeping friends since I joined Sycamore Kids.

A fun memory I have from church was when I was part of the kids who acted in the Sycamore Creative Show.

My big birthday prayer for Sycamore Church is that Sycamore becomes big in Jesus name.

Sycamore Church will have plenty money.

Best wishes,

Grace Omorinkoba
