JESUS LOVES YOU

We’re very excited about your decision to commit to Jesus! We’re certain there’s no better step you could have taken about life. And that a step taken towards God through Jesus is never a wrong step. Jesus loves you and is totally committed to making your relationship with Him work. He died and was raised back to life for that reason. As a church family, we would love to stand with you to help you follow through on your decision for Jesus.

WHAT NEXT?

GET BAPTIZED IN WATER

Jesus commanded all his followers to be baptized as a way of publicly declaring what has happened within us. It is symbolic of dying with Jesus Christ to sin and the old life, being buried with Him, and being raised with Him in the newness of life!

GROW SPIRITUALLY

We believe that spiritual growth is a process that we embrace deliberately and not something we merely stumble into with the passage of time. Growing spiritually is definitely different from ageing spiritually!

Here are four top tips to particularly look out for:

Being constantly and audibly thankful to God. It opens up your heart strongly towards God.

(Hebrews 13:15). There’s everything to thank him for: your new found life and His love for you are great places to start.

Reading the Bible consistently (daily) and patiently. It triggers change within you. (Romans 12:1-2, John 6:63) God does everything He does by His word. So right in your Bible is God’s plan for the work He wants to do in your life and an outplay of it. You really should read it! You can download any of our free Surge Bible reading plans here. Talking to God in prayer deliberately and sincerely. (1 Thessalonians 5:17; Hebrews 4:16)  You don’t have to work to try and impress God. You’re in a conversation with your father! Prayer keeps you strengthened and refreshed.

Staying in fellowship and community with believers. (Hebrews 10:25, Ecclesiastes 4:9-10) Be open, be regular and stay planted in Church (either with us or any Bible-believing Church you feel connected to). It will greatly boost your growth in the things of God.
