Day 9- Acts 9

Bible Reading : Acts 9

Meditation Focus: The Transformational Power of The Gospel

Thoughts For Reflection

  1. (V 1 – 9) When we feel people are too extreme, or too way off for God to reach, we are making small of God’s power to save. Take a moment today to focus on God’s ability to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine, and see how it encourages you.

  2. (v 10-30) A God who is able to supernaturally shine heavenly lights to reach the lost, as frequently as he wants, still invites His children on earth to collaborate with him in the process of reaching people. He involves Ananias, Barnabas and others in Paul’s story. Are there ways that you know that you can be collaborating better with God for those around you?
  1. (v 36-43) God is still a life-giving God who turns sorrowful situations to joyful situations as we look to Him and put our faith in Him.  Are there situations that you have been worrying about, rather than believing God? If it is big enough to be on your mind, then it is big enough to be prayed about

In Prayer Today:

But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ. Acts 9:22 NKJV
Pray for yourself to grow in your faith journey this year- that your strength will increase, and that you will enjoy more boldness to deal with opposition.

So all who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord. Acts 9:35 NKJV
Pray that your life and expressions will point many to the Lord. Pray that the way you do your work, the way you reason and speak, and the way you live your life will be such a strong testimony that points people to Jesus.

Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied. Acts 9:31 NKJV
Would you intercede especially for the church in Nigeria today, that we will enjoy peace, edification, comfort and multiplication, and especially, that we will walk in the fear of God.

    Amen.

May the Church of God increase in peace, edification and numbers. May we grow in the knowledge of God.

I am amazed that Jesus would be speaking to Paul and tell him to go into the city for someone else to speak to him. If I was Paul, I would be like, but you are Jesus, you are talking to me already. Why do I need another man , or an individual or the church ?

Alas, God really invites human participation into his divine processes.

May I be more sensitive to maximise the communities he has placed me in.
