Bible Reading – Mark 2
Thoughts for Reflection:
(v 1 – 5) We see the Paralytic carried by four determined friends to encounter Jesus. Take a moment today to be grateful to people that God has used to carry you towards Jesus, and also consider specific ways that you can carry someone in your world towards Jesus.
(v 18 – 22) Notice that Jesus links / compares fasting to preparing new wineskin that will be able to effectively contain the new wine that God wants to bring into our lives. As you wait on God today, remind yourself of some of the expectations that you have for the year ahead that you believe that God is preparing you for, and let that encourage and strengthen you on your fast.
In Prayer today:
And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying Mark 2:4 NKJV
Pray for a God-birthed resilience in your spirit in 2025. Pray to live a life that rises beyond excuses, defies odds, and breaks limitations and restrains this year.
Jesus heard them and answered, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor, but sick people do. I didn’t come to invite good people to be my followers. I came to invite sinners.” Mark 2:17 CEV
Pray for your life and responses in 2025 to be filled with the Jesus type of wisdom. Pray that you will know how to answer each one- each question and challenge that you face- with a wisdom and accuracy that heralds truth.
