Day 7- Acts 7

Bible Reading : Acts 7

Meditation Focus: Making A Case For The Faith

Thoughts For Reflection

  1. (V 1 – 53) When called upon, Stephen is able to articulately defend his faith in a way that is clear and relevant. By the end, his listeners were ‘cut to the heart’.  Stephen demonstrates a combination of great learning and the fullness of the Holy Spirit in doing this. What would it take for you to be able to more clearly and powerfully make a case, in your circles, for the things that you have believed?
  2. (v 57) Do you notice that even though Saul is just a young man caught up in wrong doing, God’s eye is upon him and God is preparing him for a glorious destiny? Are there any such people that you know that are caught up in wrong doing, that you need to specifically be praying and believing God for (rather than giving up on them)?

In Prayer Today:

And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds. Acts 7:22 NKJV
Pray that by the help of the Holy Spirit, in this season, you are being made mighty in your words and corresponding actions. Pray to be an influence in the earth today for the glory of God.

Whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt Acts 7:39 NKJV
Pray that your heart will not turn back to the things God has delivered you from, but rather, that you will be strongly hearted in the direction of destiny.

    Amen.

Yes, Saul was already in God’s mind all along. I pray that I don’t give up on people who are not yet walking with God.

I also pray for God’s wisdom, and like Samuel , none of my words falling to the ground. An influence and an ambassador of God.

    So help me God. Amen
