Bible Reading : Acts 6
Meditation Focus: God’s Wisdom Through All Seasons
Thoughts For Reflection
- (V 1 – 7) Do you notice the God-given wisdom for the Apostles to solve the growth-related challenges in the early church, and how that then led to even more and greater growth. Are there growth-related challenges in this season of your life that you need the wisdom of God in solving or knowing how to handle? Growth-related challenges are opportunities for even greater growth.
- (v 8 -15) Yet another story of how God raises and equips a person through serving in His house, and then goes on to use the person’s gifting and training to make impact in the larger community outside the church. Are you currently in this process or a similar process? In what ways or through what opportunities or platforms is God currently raising and equipping you? Are you responding well?
In Prayer Today:
Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business Acts 6:3 NKJV
Pray that as you wait on God in this season, God is causing you to grow in character and the power of the Holy Spirit, such that you can be entrusted with the things that God has in mind for you.
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Acts 6:8 NKJV
Would you pray to be this kind of Christian- full of faith and power, and whose life is filled with great expressions of the grace of God.
But they were not able to successfully withstand and cope with the wisdom and the intelligence [and the power and inspiration] of the Spirit by whom he was speaking. Acts 6:10 AMP
Pray for such an expression of the Holy Spirit in you, that sets you above the world in wisdom, intelligence and inspiration.

Growth-related challenges are opportunities for even greater growth. Sometimes I focus on the challenges much more than the growth. God help me correct my vision. Help me grow in character and in the power of the Holy Spirit. I want your wisdom Lord.
So help me God. Amen
