Day 28- Acts 28

Bible Reading: Acts 28

Meditation Focus: Preserved for God’s Purpose

Thoughts for Reflection:
1. (v1 – 31)  Notice that Paul, who had willingly devoted himself to God’s cause, could not be stopped in spite of every obstacle. Despite opposition, threats, intimidation, stormy seas, a snake bite, and so on, Paul enjoyed God’s constant presence helping him through it all.

Is there any doubt in my heart regarding the outcome of my God processes? Do I ever directly or indirectly question God’s faithfulness or ability?

2. (v17 – 31)  Above all else, Paul was strongly focused on reaching people with the gospel, and playing his role in building God’s kingdom.

Is there more that I can do right now or in this season to be a fruitful, contributing and productive member of God’s Kingdom on earth?

In Prayer Today:
But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.   Acts 28: 3,5 NKJV
Pray for God to keep and preserve you from all harm. In an evil world full of dangers, pray that no ill or evil will get the better of you.

For the heart (the understanding, the soul) of this people has grown dull (stupid, hardened, and calloused), and their ears are heavy and hard of hearing and they have shut tight their eyes… Acts 27:28 AMPC
As we round off this Surge study, pray that all your learning from God’s word will have the right effect on you. Pray that you will live with a heart that is flooded with light and tender to God; and with ears and eyes that are sensitive and sharp.

Above all, pray that through the entirety of your journey and all that it brings you to, God will prosper His purpose in you!
