Bible Reading: Acts 24
Meditation Focus: Contending for Truth
Thoughts for Reflection:
1. (v1 – 23) Notice how Paul calmly and confidently remains insistent on the truth of his faith even when he is falsely accused. Are there areas of life where my faith is being challenged or called into question? Do I resort to panicking and gimmicks or hold on to the integrity of my faith, while trusting in God?
2. (v24 – 27) Paul finds himself as a victim of systemic injustice. What should be our Christian response when we fall victim to the injustice of systems?
In Prayer today;
In view of this, I also do my best and strive always to have a clear conscience before God and before men. Acts 24:16 AMP
Pray for a constantness of sincerity and truth in your heart. Pray that against all odds and in spite of all offence, God will help you to be a clear-hearted Christian towards him and towards others.
After some days Felix came with his wife, Drusilla, who was a Jew. He asked for Paul to be brought to him. He listened to Paul talk about believing in Christ Jesus. Acts 24:24 ICB
Pray for God to give you, and other christians influence to share the gospel with people who ordinarily seem out of reach. Particularly pray for a strong reach of the gospel with the high and mighty, and with the low and forgotten.
