Day 21- Courage To Continue

Day 21- Courage To Continue

Bible Reading: Genesis 26: 1-22

I’m always intrigued when I watch long distance races, especially at the Olympics or some other high profile competition. You would see this athlete, who seemed to be straining out his last bit of energy to cross the finishing line after running a 10 000 metres marathon- he would suddenly get a new strength when he breasts the tape and realises that he’s now a world champion. I don’t know what it is, but it’s like a new race starts. He picks up his country’s flag and starts to run around all over the stadium again celebrating.

Family, its been a beautiful twenty one day journey of a courage spark in us!

Do you feel like that athlete who pushed through the last few steps to make it through?  Well, I feel like it’s now time to start running around and living out in the victory that we have found! It’s not time to throw away all that we have laboured to come into.

Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. 2 John 8 NKJV

We’ve enjoyed an intentionality over the last twenty one days, setting a pathway in front of our feet. Now, we’ve got to stay intentional as we travel that course that God has opened up for us.

I believe with all my heart that the best of God in your life is ahead of you and not behind you! Like it was with Isaac in our reading today, he only saw the full picture of the blessing by continuing, not quitting.

The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous Genesis 26:13 NKJV

I encourage you to stay intentional about your life; to keep a heart posture that puts God first; to stay connected in faith community and let’s keep pressing on for the fullness of all that God has ahead of us!

Because of the promise and hope that is in Jesus, your best is yet to come!

Something To Pray
The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous Genesis 26:13 NKJV

Would you pray a continuous prospering for yourself in soul, in the will of God, and in all things.

PS:
If you haven’t yet, please take 30 seconds right away and let us know that you joined in for surge this year at bit.ly/Surge2022 . It is really really important to us and we would love to know.

Also you can share your surge story, and what God did through this period in your life at bit.ly/SycStory . Was it your first time or not? What was seeking God like for you? What did you love or struggle with? What did God do in your life?

It’s Vision Sunday today and we’re all set and excited to herald a sound of God’s word to us as a church in this season. Looking forward to sharing the beautiful service with you by 9 am WAT both onsite and online.
