Bible Reading: Acts 16

Meditation Focus: All Things For His Purpose 

Thoughts for Reflection:
(v 1 – 15) The guidance of Holy Spirit is sometimes by the closing of doors, as it is by the opening of doors at other times. Do you still trust and affirm God’s ability to work, even when you don’t understand?

(v16 – 40) Notice how God is comfortable to allow the devil and his affront to play a role in a beautiful God story of the salvation of an entire household. In what areas of your life or details around you do you need to be reminded that even when things are not God-intended, they can be God used?

In Prayer today:

Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.  Acts 16: 6 – 7 NKJV
Pray for a sharp surrender and sensitivity to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, such that your life will not merely be marked by good directions, but God directions.

Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said , “Sirs , what must I do to be saved?”  Acts 16: 29 – 30 NKJV

Pray that all the expressions of your life will be a pointer, leading people to Jesus. (Specifically mention some key expressions of your life and ask God to use it a channel to bring people within your influence space to encounter him)
