Bible Reading – Mark 8
Thoughts for Reflection:
(v 1-10) We see a miracle of multiplying bread and fish to feed the multitudes, similar to the feeding of the five thousand. When God does something, He is not merely doing an act; He is demonstrating a pattern that can be repeated. Take a moment to reflect today of something significant that God has done in your past that gives you faith for something ahead of you.
(v 22 – 26) Notice that the restoration of sight for this blind man was progressive. In a moment he saw men like trees walking, then after another touch, he saw everyone clearly. That things are not totally clear in a moment does not mean that God is not involved in the process. Are there areas in this season of your life where you can trust God for more or better clarity?
In Prayer today:
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Mark 8:36 NKJV
Pray today for the right sense of value this year. Pray that in all your gains this year, you will not lose invaluable things because of poor judgment. Pray that you will truly be profiting this year.
He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven.” Mark 8:5 NKJV
Pray today for a stronger awareness of what you have. Pray that in this season of waiting on God, you will be more aware of gifting and divine entrustments in your life. Pray that your eyes will be open to see opportunities and privileges that God has blessed you with, so that you will maximise them.
