Day 1- Destiny is Spelt C-O-U-R-A-G-E!

Day 1- Destiny is Spelt C-O-U-R-A-G-E!

Bible Reading: Joshua 1:1-18

I remember that some words gave me difficulties while growing up. There are words that don’t look like their pronunciations. For example, we could be in church and a preacher would ask that we open to the book of ‘Psalms’… and I’d be turning to Samuel, and inviting ignorantly that all those around me didn’t hear, because in my mind, Psalms has to start with an S.

When we say things like God has a plan for our lives and talk around the whole concept of destiny, maybe its one of those words that doesn’t look like its spelling.

Destiny- and the plan and purpose of God for your life this year- will not happen in some lazy uncertainty, second guessing everything, fearful freaking out, and all that.

It’s really going to look like courage.

It’s going to be a sound in your heart that propels you to stand up and go for it! God calls us to a bold attack!

Be strong and courageous… Be strong and very courageous… Then you will be prosperous and successful.  Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-9 NIV

Visiting a place for the first time or doing something for the first time sure comes with the nerves and questions and all that. Pretty much the same with stepping into a season that you haven’t been in before. There could be the haziness, the uncertainty, the questions and all that. But everyone who walked this journey with God and lived a significant life had to respond to that nudge of destiny by responding in courage.

Courage doesn’t mean that we don’t have questions. It means that we have a propelling thing within us that weighs more than the questions. Living a courageous life doesn’t mean that you’re some superman or woman, it simply means that you’ve positioned your heart to trust in God’s ability and presence with you.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment. 2 Timothy 1:7 CSB

The spirit of faith is a spirit of courage, not of fear. God invites us to step forward in courage because He has put a spirit of faith in us!

Something to Pray

Pray today for the kind of courage that this new season requires of you. Pray for a courage that the Holy Spirit gives that is greater than every question and uncertainty in your life.

PS:
Welcome to surge COURAGE!

I believe that these next 21 days will be the best 21 days of our lives so far! Please give today the best intentionality that you can. Get some time to pray. Write down any impressions that you sense the Lord laying on your heart. Through it all, make sure that you’re seeking God! He promises us that those who seek Him will find Him.

Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you… James 4:8 TPT
