Bible Reading: Acts 1
Meditation Focus: The Empowerment That The Holy Spirit Gives
Thoughts For Reflection
- (v 4- 8) What do I notice about the importance and inevitability that Jesus places on the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer? Do I treat the Holy Spirit with such importance in my life?
- (v 12 – 14) What do I notice about the power and importance of an “upper room” company? Do I have such community in my life that provides support and a push for me in the direction of God’s promise?
In Prayer Today:
- But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8 NKJV Pray that this season of seeking God will significantly empower you to be all that God has called you to be. Pray that all your expressions this year will be from a place of power, not weakness.
- And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen…” Acts 1:24 NKJV
Pray for God, who knows all hearts, to order your steps to God-chosen relationships and away from unhelpful relationships this year. Pray that your relationships will be propellers towards being all that God has called you to be.

Amen.
For Jesus to ask the disciples to wait for the ‘gift’ of the Holy Spirit, tells much.
I’m praying this prayers.
So help me God.
