Every person’s goal is to make great impact on earth. That also means to be a man or woman that God can use for good and wonderful things.
If sometimes, it sounds like something reserved for pastors and reverends and the like, you are not the only one who feels that way. At some point, I felt that way too.
But the good news is that anybody can be used by God. Even you. Even me.
These 7 steps will show you how to become someone that God uses for good works on a steady! Isn’t that amazing?

KNOW YOUR GOD
To be used by God, first you must know Him. You can not work for a stranger or someone you know absolutely nothing about.
The good thing about this is that God can be known through his word and in his church. So, simply by spending time in God’s word – the bible, you can start getting to know him.

BUILD A HUNGER AND THIRST FOR GOD
Do you agree that it is wasteful to give food to a man that isn’t hungry? Why? Because the will probably not finish the food and end up throwing it in the trash.
God doesn’t show himself to people who are not hungry or thirsty for him. You must be eager in your pursuit of God.
How can you do this?
Start making the things of God a priority, God should never be an afterthought. Go early to church meetings and start your day with God first.
KNOW YOURSELF IN CHRIST
Now that you are building a relationship with God, you need to start knowing the power you carry as a child of God. Every child of God carries the spirit of God. It is important that you know that you are light in a dark world – meaning that you live by and promote God’s standards and way of life in a world that just wants to sin.
Light should never be hidden.
You are the temple of God, anytime you get somewhere, God has just arrived there.
KNOW WHAT GOD GIVES YOU GRACE FOR
It is important to know what you have been given grace for. God will not call you to work for him in a role where you will always struggle.
In God’s puzzle, there is a place where you fit in without struggle. Do not force yourself to be a member of the choir if God gave you just the grace to act drama – seriously, you will make people uncomfortable each time you try to sing 🙂

DON’T PUT YOURSELF IN TEMPTATION ZONES
You must set structures for yourself. You can’t play near the river and expect to not get wet. Surround yourself with people, places, music, messages and things that help you keep your mind pure and focused on God.

IMPROVE AND GROW
Growth is a constant for every child of God. You should never be complacent in knowing more about God and what he has called you to do for him. Always find ways to improve yourself. Learn something new, and meet with people. There is always something to learn from someone, but remember the last point – don’t learn from people who will lead you away from God and his plans for you.
SAY NO TO DISCOURAGEMENT
In the world we live in there are things that are set to get you down. It may seem like the world is against you but you must remember that the God you serve never changes.
He will always come through for His children. So do not allow the trials of the world to discourage you. A man used by God should never lose hope, instead, he should stand steadfastly on the promises of God.
